Title: A Lone Voice Crying in the Wilderness

Every morning he stood at the corner of Sunnydale's busiest intersection holding up his message of warning. He was generally ignored except for those who jostled him out of the way, or cursed at him, or laughed at him when he was pelted with rotten tomatoes or bad eggs thrown from slow-moving cars filled with raucous teenaged boys.
It was barely noticed the morning he failed to show up. Later, his broken and exsanguinated body was discovered in a dirty alley. The sign that he'd carried every day lay beside him, the words stark and accusatory: HERE THERE BE MONSTERS.
